Na shledanou - party [Levanger,Norway,august 05]

# IF YOU WANT ME TO REMOVE SOME PICTURES,JUST SEND ME AN E-MAIL
This is some of the pictures from my na shledanou - party in august. I will post pictures now and then from different happenings from august, but not the day they occur. I will only select some pictures (the best ones ofcourse), and please let me know if I should remove any of them - so check my page often :)
My friends had made me a great cake. They used alot of time and effort on keeping the surprise-party secret, but I must admit they did a great job!

Well, someone is happy and celebrating because I leave the country :)

Waiting for the balloon-taxi (yes, we have our own dedicated balloon-taxi in Levanger)

In Levanger we have at least 5 disco/bar/"places to be" in the weekends, so alot of choices on where to go.... no - not really.

Someone is a lion on the dancefloor, while others try new shoes - and to top it of a salute in the black and beautiful Norwegian night.

Thanx for a great farewellparty (Andreas,Trond E,Marcus,Ingrid,Tone and Kaja)! Looking forward to "do" Storm (the only good place to party in Levanger) again.

Marit in Prague!

Marit came to visit me in Prague for 5 days from Sunday. Not surprisingly I was happy for my visitor :). Even though it was many days with shopping and walking around in and around Prague (Andel, Zlicin, city centre) I enjoyed it. You could not see me alot on school - but will promise to do alot of schoolwork from now on. I only have 53 days left here in Prague until I take Christmas-vacation and travel back to Norway. We stayed at Hotel Denisa near Dejvicka - and really enjoyed it. Only 4 minutes to the metro, and from there only a couple of stops to the city centre.

Got a supply of Norwegian brunost, chocolate (Stratos,Kvikk-lunsj and Melkesjokolade),Norwegian magazines (FHM and Mann), some of my DVDS (The Others, The Boondock Saints, Donnie Brasco and Svidd Neger) and Nugatti. So anyone wants to taste or look, just come by my room.

My plans for the next week is:
- Study
- Get the stupid Lånekassen (Norwegian back-yard firm) to give me some money for my languagecourse
- find a good library where I can study
- find my cellphone-charger which I lost in the hotel :(
- eat healthy and stay away from beer
- prepare everything for study next week

Will try to blog more often next week - if anything happens. Feel free to chat on my homepage, send me e-mail and regular mail.

"Vondt i hauuet å e daff" - sich

Isn`t it great being sich? First of all I got to take the bus to this be-a-utiful hospital. The international section actually spoke english and was very kind. Waiting for the doctor took some time, but hey - I`m in Czech Republic, I am used to waiting so it doesn`t bother me anymore. So, an iPod is nice to have by hand. The doctor didn`t speak any english ofcourse, so she had to call for a translator (the nice woman from the international department). The "examination" consisted of pushing 4 times on my belly and see if I could reach my toes. Withouth having any pain doing this excercise she declared me healthy and would not do anymore test. She gave me some medicine, said I could do no excercise or drink alkohol, recommended me a diet and said I had to go another place for some picturetakingstuff on monday if I wasn`t feeling better. Me and my translator thought it was strange that I got ill because of the food because I have already stayed here for 2 months now, and I haven`t eaten in any extremely cheap and sleazy places lately. Well - it was fun to see that the hospital works at least.

Great time to get sich, Marit is coming here tomorrow around 2.30 PM. Will let you know when I get healthy again - and if not, please sue Dr. Kracikova for me :)

This is my current schedule at school

Trip to Budapest - the place with cartoon-ic language

Buildings in Budapest

Expensive caviar in Budapest

White restaurant, were everything is white and looks great (not like the crappy place in Levanger - Bar & Sirkus)

A Giraffe of beer (2,5l) (3000 HUF - 100 NOK)

Name of a good dancing-place

Another bar

Pub where you can eat peanuts for free and have to throw them on the floor, and visit-cards hanging everywhere on the walls and ceiling

Ray-painting show, means that large headlights colored a lot of buildings with art

"Follow that taxi" - works with 3 taxis in a row

Tourists taking pictures of us taking pictures of eachother. Had to take a picture of them

Inside one of the nicest buildings I have seen

Train back home

This is the f***ing boarder-police! (Read more about this issue further down)

UPDATE: Does not have time to describe the whole trip, but some of these sentences will definitly make the people who where on the trip to remember some strange situations.
- "PASSPORT-CONTROL!", screamed out by the border police 3 times during trip from Prague to Budapest - and 3 times on the way back. Impossible to sleep with this.
- "TICKET-CONTROL!", screamed out loud by train-inspector 3-6 times during the trip.
- we lived in an apartment rented from some very nice guys. It was cheap and they where very friendly showing us everything we needed to know (hungaryapartment.com)
- "monday-th-century building", said by me - because I was tired of all the guids telling about the buildings from the 12th-century and so on.
- "Semi-conductor", the retarded train-conductor on all the trains Prague-Budapest.
- "I`m so hungry I`m going to freeze to death", once again an unique sentence by me. We were sitting in a restaurant outside, it was cold and I hadn`t been eating anything for 24 hours. We started to discuss if it is similar if you starve to death or freeze to death (when you freeze to death someone say that you can feel warm right before you die) - and I was starting to get not hungry anymore, so was afraid of dying :)
- "Do you speak Norwegian? (in hungarian)", I asked some local hungarian (the one with the nice mustach on the pictures) how I could say that sentence. I asked the sentence to the first girl we met - and she was actually from Norway too. I met alot of Norwegians in Budapest. Strange to bump into people so far from home.
- The train-trip (10 hours) back home from Budapest was funny (not when it happened, but to days after). We had ordered a sleeping-wagon, but the previuous semi-conductor did not give us the right ticket back. So we had to sit in 1. class for 7 hours - and then switch to 2. class the last 3 hours (withouth any heating, open windows, lights that could not be switched off and impossible seats to sleep in).

l`enfer Rouge

l`enfer rouge - red devil, nice place to chill out in Prague.

What can you do with straws? Put them in your hear

Bad picture, but anyway: The guy was trying to sell us candles with Lenin,Stalin and Osama Bin Laden heads on top of them. For 100 CZK (25 NOK) - what a bargain!

Me and Fabio

Me with Fabios glasses... (no comments necessary)

So, as you can imagine I was at a party yesterday. It was nice, met some new friends. Tried to find the nightbus back to where I live - but gave up. Ordered a taxi for 250 CZK, when I asked for the bill he just looked through his wallet, gave me a bill (dated 11.october,586 CZK and with the signatures from other persons on it) and asked: "Is this good enough for you?" Ofcourse it was enough, what is the point in making new bills for every passengers - just use the old ones :P

I will try to post more pictures of persons from now on, have only posted pictures of non-person items mostly, but have to show that there are actually people in Prague too.

Nokia Strahov Open Air 2005

1-7: Pictures from before Nokia Strahov Open Air 2005 started
8: Cheese and wine
9,10: Alot of conserts

Tuesday it were Nokia Strahov Open 2005. With alot of different music from Ska,hip-hop,czech-music,rock and everything. Alot of people, cheap beer and food. Should make something like this in Trondheim also.

Will go to Budapest from tonight and until Monday - so will not hear from me until next week sometime. And the reason for the trip you ask? Being a tourist, fun, beer and food as always. Travelling with 11 other ERASMUS-students will also be fun I think. Will try to take alot of pictures. Any recommendations on what I should visit during my Budapest-trip? Just leave a comment, and I am sure I will find an internet-cafe during my stay there. By the way only 11 days until Marit will arrive from Norway to Prague - you are more than welcome to stay at my place if you want :)

Todays word: doorbell [ENG] - zvonek u dveří [CZ] - ringeklokke [NOR]
